Green Building Adventure | Phase I

The Green Building Adventure has
two floors. The first is mostly
storage with a
work station/office kitchenette
and a composting toilet.
Upstairs is our office and storage shelves.
These doors are hiding the upstairs
shelves. They're on roller blade
wheels with a wooden track above.

The top of the sliding
doors are held by a wooden track.
These shelves are full of office supplies,
papers, books, and everything
else that Educational Excursions has.
The sliding doors help hide the mess.

Here you can see our
work station/office kitchenette
under the stairs. The
room in the corner is the
composting bathroom.

Here's our composting toilet.
It's fancy and comfortable
and doesn't use any water.

The composting toilet
is basically a 5 gallon bucket
and wood shavings. The wood
is the shavings from planing
the wood used in our building.

The bench of the toilet lifts
so the bucket can be removed.
Since it's just wood shavings
and waste, it breaks down quickly.
The toilet paper gets burned.
Simple!
