Most of the wood we used
was reclaimed from other structures.
It was weathered and worn, so we
planed it to make it
beautiful again. Dad helped.
Thanks dad!
Some of the wood we used for
framing was cedar from an old deck.
The wood was in great condition, but cedar
is not strong enough for framing.
Matthew and Cindy nailed two boards together
so they'd be strong enough to
be used as studs.
Here's the view out the front.
The space on the left will be the door
and the right will be a window.
This wall is also framed with
heart-pine from Cabbagetown.
The big boards in the headers are
old floor joists from
Ecological Creations' shop.
