Welcome!After many challenges,
our first garden site took off!
It was planted before a
drought in the midst of Summer,
it was cut twice by city workers,
and it was rarely watered.
But it is now thriving! -
Bee BalmThe brilliant pink
flowers are Bee Balm.
It's in the mint family....
the flowers make a tasty
garnish to your salad. -
OreganoOur focus is to use
edible, medicinal, and native
plants that need no maintenance.
Oregano seemd like a great addition!
Here it is in full
bloom. -
FennelThe Fennel is the
feathery brownish/bronze
plant in the middle.
The wild onions to the right
are volunteers! -
MintsMost of the plants in
this first garden are in the
mint family. They include
Spearmint, Chocolate Mint,
Lemon Balm, and more. -
RosemaryHere is a baby
Rosemary plant. Within two
months, it more than
quadrupled in size!
What a happy plant! -
SageAnd here is a
baby Sage plant.
It is also very, very
happy....it has
grown, and grown,
and grown! -
